IK01-IK06 Pendulum Hammer Test Aparaptus
1. Introduction
the IK01 to IK06 pendulum hammer test apparatus is for the test of energies not exceeding 1J. The equipment consists of test apparatus, striking element, mounting fixture, sheet of plywood and steel tube. The test apparatus can meet the test requirements of IEC60068-2-78 annex D and IEC60884-1 clausee 24.1, for checking the mechanical strength of household and similar use plugs, socket-outlets, surface-type mounting box, screw glands, covers, switches and other electricl accessories.
2. Working precinple
The striking element made of polyamide (radius of 10mm, mass of 150g and rockwell hardness of Ht100) is firmly fixed to the lower end of the steel tube with an outer diameter of 9mm and a wall thickness of 0.5mm. The pendulum pivot is in the upper end of steel tube, to make the steel tube can only move in the vertical plane through the axis of the pendulum pivot. The axis of the pendulum pivot should be 1000mm above the axis of the striking element. The specimens are mounted on a sheet of plywood 8mm thick and 175mm square. The tope and bottom edges of the plywood should be firmly fixed on a rigid bracket, which is part of mounting fixture. The specimen (like surface-type socket-outlets and surface-type mounting box) are mounted on the plywood as in normal service. The specimen (like flush-type outlet) is not possilbe to mount on the plywood directly, a suitable adapter would need to be prescribed.
