IK01-IK10 Pendulum Impact Hammer Test Equipment
1. Introduction
The IK01 to IK10 pendulum impact hammer test equipment is designed to meet the test requirements of IEC60068-2-75 test Eha and IEC62262. This equipment combines the test apparatus for severities not exceeding 1J and test apparatus for severities of 2J and above. The hammer for 1J and below tests (IK01 to IK06) is made of nylon. And the hammers for 2J and 2J above (IK07 to IK10) tests are made of steel.
The working principle is to place the sample in normal, and adjust the impact points. Position the impact hammer, and release the hammer from certain height (falling height) to freely impact the specimen, the impact energy will be generated. The impact angle and impact height can be adjusted to fit with the impact points.
For low energy tests (≤1J, IK01 to IK06), there will be a mounting fixture to fix the specimens as per IEC60068-2-75 clause 4.2.2. The mounting fixture is designed according to IE60068-2-75 figure D.3, and applied to fixed the specimens like switches, lampholders, covers, screw glands, plug, sockets and etc..
The test rig is made of aluminum alloy, with four wheels at the bottom, and the whole device can move freely.
