0.5J Spring Hammer for Impact Test

1.Introduction

0.5J spring hammer applies for performing the IK04 impact test, to appliance inlets designed for surface-mounting and the insulating material shrouds of plug connectors and appliance outlets. 0.5J spring hammer designs according to IEC60068-2-75 test Ehb, the hammer head has a hemispherical face of polyamide with radius of 10mm.

A per standard IEC60320-1 clause 23.4, the test sample is rigidly supported and 12 impacts are applied, there to each of four places chosen so as to include the weakest.
