Lampholders Normal Operation Test Apparatus
1.Introduction
The normal operation test apparatus is designed according to BS EN60238 clause 18 and figure 4, and IEC60238-2017 clause 19 and figure 4. It is to verify if excessive wear or other harmful will show in lampholders during normal use.
The specimen shall be placed in the test apparatus, a corresponding test cap (E14, E27, E40) shall be screwed in and out with a torque of 0-3Nm for 100 times at a rate of 15 times/min, after reaches the specified number of tests, it will automatically stop. After the test, the specimen shall show: 1). no wear impairing its operation; 2). no damage impairing protection against electric shock; 3). no loosening of electrical contacts; 4). no loosening of the connection between shell and dome; 5). no loosening of the set screw locking the threaded entry.
