Static Wind-Force Test Apparatus for Testing Streetlights and Floodlights

1. Introduction

The static wind-force test apparatus is designed to meet the test requirements of IEC60598-2-3:2011 clause 3.6.3.1 & figure 1 and IEC60598-2-5 clause 5.6.5, the equipment consists of sandbag, net, weight and test rig.

The static wind-force test for lighting fixtures refers to simulating the situation of streetlights or floodlights installed at heights outdoors, by applying certain static loads, torque, or weight to test and evaluate the load - bearing capacity and stability of the lighting fixtures under specified wind forces and installation heights. During the test, according to design requirements and relevant standards, the predetermined load is evenly applied to the lighting fixtures. Heavy objects, pressure devices, or other equipment can be used to simulate the load conditions that may be encountered in actual use. After the load is applied to the lighting fixtures, observation and measurement are carried out to assess whether the structure and fixing methods of the li

ghting fixtures can withstand the load, and whether there are any abnormal conditions such as loosening, cracking, deformation, or detachment.
