Tumbling Barrel
1. Introduction
The tumbling barrel is designed according to IEC60335-2-17 clause 21.107 and Figure 107. It’s used for the mechanical strength test of supply cords of pads. Cut off the pad’s supply cords at a distance of 100mm from the flexible part and put it into the tumbling barrel, the barrel is turned at a rate of 6rpm to 7 rpm for 500 revolutions, the specimen falls onto the steel plate twice in each revolution.
